Now Trending – Best Links Week of 3.30

This is the first time I have sat down [since leaving the office] all day (as I write this Wednesday night)! My morning started early so I could get in a 10 mile track workout and literally ran into Emily during my warm-up so that was a happy surprise. Once I got home I went to the laundromat because the washer in my building just eats quarters and doesn’t work. Luckily there is a nice one just a few blocks up from me and I live in a nice area so I could leave it, go run other errands and come back. Then I photographed two recipes, made a beet juice and granola and cleaned my entire apartment since my bestie Carly is en route as I write this (and here as you read this). Honestly, I think my main purpose in life is to entertain and nurture.

So I’m sure you really cared about my day. Here are the best links I found this week because we all know that’s why you’re here, right?

Travel
Another day, another post about how I want to go to Morocco. I love Oh, Ladycakes’ recap because she talks about the actual cities she visited which should help us plan our trip (*cough* Jessi I know you’re reading this).

Love this post on How to Vacation Like a Proper Adult. I’ve always vacationed like a proper adult because I’ve been acting like I’m 70 since I was seven (JK I think I’m 17 and just signed up for my own health insurance for the first time ever this week).

I really need to get to Hawaii again because I’m so close (That’s a good excuse, right?), especially because of this breathtaking drive to Haleakala Crater that Amanda featured on her blog last week.

Lifestyle
Erin McKenna of Erin McKenna’s Bakery (formerly named BabyCakes) did an interview on how to achieve your dreams. Because let’s be real – following your dreams is for kids, making them happen is for adults.

This was all over the Internet a couple weeks ago so I’m probably late to the game, but what does your first name say about you? Cassandra is pretty accurate: I’m passionate, intense and need lots of fresh air and exercise because I have way too much energy.

Weird to think that six months ago I was days away from finding out I was moving across the country. Luckily my dad is #thebest and did all my packing for me but I have a feeling next move I might not be so lucky. Here are some ways to make moving day easier and less expensive.

Food
I eat the same thing for weeks on end (currently dinner has been a salad with chickpeas, beets and goat cheese with avocado toast topped with a runny egg for the past 3-ish weeks) but if you aren’t cool with a never-changing menu, here are Five Tips to Keep From Getting Bored with Dinner.

Fun fact: One summer in high school I ate chocolate chip pancakes and bacon every day after cross-country practice. I still crave them on the reg which is why I want to make Davida’s Fluffiest Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Pancakes.

Do you ever wish you could use leftover pizza dough for something other than pizza? Yeah, me either, but here are Five Unexpected Ways to Use Pizza Dough. I really want to make pizza pretzels (Pizzatzels?).

Chat with me:
Is the meaning of your first name accurate? Do you use pizza dough in unexpected ways? Do you travel like an adult?

Take a load off and let’s escape to Morocco with some Chocolate Chip pancakes. My name means Lily in Gaelic. Which I love because growing up it was (and still it) a favorite flower!

I have yet to find the meaning of my name! I think it is derived from another name so perhaps I can give it my own meaning! ;) I think I travel like an adult but then shouldn’t you go a little crazy abroad? Ha! Have a great weekend!

I had no idea you could make doughnuts with pizza dough! I might have to try that one. I definitely travel like an adult. Maybe a little too much. I get super anxious about missing paperwork/id. I have to quadruple check everything…

My kids love chocolate chip pancakes! My name was spot on- down to my dual nature. Sometimes I am friendly, social, a strong leader- other times I am withdrawn, introverted, and enjoy being alone. Crazy!

The meaning of my name is eerily accurate  And the pizza dough hacks are super tempting — I seriously wanna try making cinnamon rolls.

Pizza pretzels sound awesome! (I never end up with extra pizza dough though. Ever.)

I’d love to go back to Hawai’i again someday! *-*

When I’ve looked up my name in the past, the meanings that have appeared have been all over the place–beautiful, joy, gift of the fairies, and…wild ass. Of those, the last one’s definitely the best conversational starter. >_>

according to the name meaning thing, Samantha’s are hypersensitive, emotional, childlike, charming, have a good sense of humour, and are capable of switching from one emotional state to another at the drop of a hat. Won’t argue with that! And then there’s this: “Of course, gentlemen, you may be very tempted to try your luck. However, be warned, she might behave like an angel and she certainly looks like one, but she is anything but docile, and won´t be easily seduced. Whatever happens, be nice, because hell hath no fury…!” <—- I like that.

I love this post! I have always wanted to travel more often, and this year I am making it happen! I am 25 years old and only been to NYC (born & raised there so doesn’t count), TX (currently live there so also doesn’t count), PA (went to college, STILL doesn’t count as real traveling). Get where I am going here? lol It’s so sad and kind of embarassing that I have never been on a true spring break with friends. ugh! So this year, I have decided to venture out to the west coast for the first time. Santa Monica! Have any tips for me? going this summer I can’t wait… I love your links. You always have good ones! I love your blog. Just started mine about 3 weeks ago (scariest, but amazing experience ever) 2015 is all about getting out of my comfort zone. I am loving it so far. lol
