Now Trending – Best Links Week of 2.16
Hi there. Did you guys miss me the past week? Did you even realize I was gone? Before we hop into the best links from the past two weeks, I’ll fill you in on where I’ve been since you’re all dying to know.
I mentioned Angela was visiting and a day after she left, A came out West. I had originally planned on having some posts written last Tuesday but then I had a real string of Mercury in retrograde. First, on Sunday morning I bee-bopped over to my car 4 or 5 blocks from my place because parking in the Marina on a weekend night is probably what my version of hell would be like and discovered my car had been broken into. They were super classy about it and used a wedge and unlocked it through the window rather than other parts of the city where they will unlock your car by throwing a brick through it. I stupidly keep an extra key in my console for when I’m running and that happened to be the only thing of value in my car. I was pretty sure they would later come back for my car so I filed an insurance claim and they relocked my car. Luckily the dealership for my car is just a few blocks from my apartment.
Tuesday night I stopped by the grocery store to buy avocados and berries and freak out on the lack of Fage 0% plain. When I got home I had to run to a brow appointment then discovered my phone was no where to be found. I tore apart my apartment and my car looking for it to no avail and then remembered to check Find my iPhone. My phone was currently somewhere on the Golden Gate Bridge. I wiped my phone, sent a message with my dad’s number to call and we would give them a reward for returning my phone.
About an hour later on my walk home from the Apple store, new iPhone 6 in hand, someone called my dad about my phone. They said they “found it” (despite the last place I remember seeing it was in my Transport Tote) and I asked them to leave it at customer service because I wasn’t trying to get murdered by some creep. I went back to Apple, returned my iPhone 6 but they couldn’t turn the service back on my phone because AT&T closes at midnight EST. So I lived like a pioneer for a little bit. Thank God for iMessage on Macs so I could tell A where to wait for me at the airport before I left since DryBar’s WiFi was not working that morning. Anyway, by Wednesday night I had a car with new locks and a phone that mainly worked other than iMessage and a bunch of unwritten blog posts and a stomach full of wine and Lazy Bear (more on that next week).
Um, I want to be in Sydney like right now.

The worst part of growing up besides not having money handed to you is having to learn how to be an adult and have a job. I’m guilty of a lot of these career mistakes 20-somethings make but hey, learn from your mistakes, right?
