Now Trending – Best Links Week of 11.3

now_trending_20141106

Sorry I went totally MIA on you guys this week. Moving is mentally and physically exhausting. I haven’t had time to breathe, let alone work on my own blog or read blogs. Okay, I’m so exhausted and have to wake up for yoga so here are the best links I found this week (sorry, there’s not as many as usual!).

Travel
I learned at a young age there are people I can travel with and people I can’t travel with. If you do one of these things you are too old to do while traveling I probably can’t travel with you.

If you truly want to escape it all, head to one of the world’s most remote places (strangely, I’ve been to two – Nicaragua and Ushuaia in Argentina!).

Lifestyle
Your social life can take a toll on your wallet. Here are some great ways to still go out and travel with your friends while not running your credit card bill through the roof.

I seriously need to stop procrastinating. These tips might help.

Just for laughs, here are 20 Questions with Amy Poehler.

Food
Have you been to the oldest restaurant in your state?

This Layered Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Bread from Yeah…immaeatthat looks like a game changer.

Need some hints on how to pair food with wine? Food52 has a great breakdown.

Surprisingly, I’ve been eating a random assortment of things for breakfast – vegan overnight oats (with Davida’s pumpkin spice latte overnight oat recipe), toast with avocado and eggs, smoothies (well, this morning since my Vitamix is here)… now I need to try making breakfast bowls.

Chat with me:
Did you miss me? What did I miss this week while I was off the grid? Do you procrastinate as much as me?

my Poehler is freaking hilarious. There is a show that she producded with her brother called Welcome to Sweden and, as I have a really close friend from Finland, I pretty much thought was beyond amazing. Good luck with the unpacking!

I cannot wait to read her book… and love she is in my company’s ad campaigns right now! I totally made out with a Finnish guy once. Actually I think more than once. I forgot about that until now. xo

I can totally relate. I went MIA during my move in August and I just moved a couple blocks haha. Also, pretty sure I procrastinate more than anyone ever, but I’m working on it this month- so thanks for the tips :D

Moving is exhausting so completely understandable! You were missed though! So glad you finally got your vitamix back so you can make smoothies once again! :) That bread looks awesome and so do those breakfast bowls! Need to try them.

I like the tips on things to do without breaking the bank! :] I’ve lived in 4 states thus far and haven’t eaten at any of those restaurants yet. :[ Maybe I’ll check out the SF one when I’m back home for vacation! :] Moving is definitely stressful, but hopefully it’s starting to settle down(?)! How are you liking it over there?

Of course we all miss you. What a dumb question :) I read that article earlier in the week about the oldest restaurant in your state. Sadly I’ve never been to mine. I’d love to check it out one of these times were in the U.S. Not so sure when that’ll happen with newborns, but one day.. hahah!

I want to visit every restaurant in that list of oldest restaurants! Super cool.

I’m a horrendous procrastinator and am always looking for new ways to stop. Occasionally I have a week of intense productivity, love it, and can’t imagine going back to my old ways ever again, and then by Monday I’m back to where I started.

I’m the world’s worst procrastinator. I don’t know why. It’s so awful!
